Hub One for Your Business

Hub One is a provider of optimized warehouse and logistics solutions, offering both consulting and implementation services to some of the world’s largest quick-service and fast-casual restaurant chains. We manage more than one-third of the SKUs in the McDonald's supply chain through the operation of our five hubs across the country. We have created unprecedented efficiency that saves tens of millions of dollars for customers in their distribution, warehousing and storage systems.

At Hub One, our goal is to use better technology and more efficient processes to continue to strengthen and speed our customers’ ability to do business.

How Technology Helps Us Lead
Technology is not static. When properly applied, it continues to enable new leaps in efficiency and cost savings. Hub One invests significant resources in both people and technology to ensure we are ahead of the curve. We use leading-edge supply chain solutions, including Red Prairie warehouse management systems, JD Edwards, and the full extent of emerging technology like EDI, data warehousing, RFID and more. With Hub One, you know you’re in the hands of the logistics experts. Learn how Hub One can improve your company’s bottom line.

Redistribution

Distributors face tough challenges, with product needs constantly in motion.  Often, shipments are not large enough to require a full truckload of goods, and less-than-truckload (LTL) quantities are inefficient to ship, draining resources. It’s especially true of low-volume SKUs that eat up valuable floor space and turn over infrequently.

Hub One steps in as a replenishment source. In our five mega-hubs, we receive full truckload orders of thousands of SKUs, and deliver LTL quantities to distributors on-demand in full truckloads. Distribution centers no longer need to stockpile inventory in anticipation of potential restaurant demand.

For distributors, the benefits of working with Hub One include:
Fewer purchase orders and invoices
Fewer shipments; less inventory
Vendor and freight cost reduction
Distribution Center cost reduction and capacity increase
Lowered total system logistics costs/greater profits

Warehousing and System Storage

The first comment we usually hear when a customer visits one of our hubs is, “Wow, it’s so clean!” Because of the rigid quality demands placed on us by the customers we serve, we maintain our hubs at an exemplary level, scoring 98% on the most recent Silliker Distribution Center Audit. Hub One was a 2003, 2004 & 2005 winner. We’ve been a Distribution Center Audit Platinum Award winner three years running. Whether it’s dry goods, frozen or refrigerated, it’s simply a different experience than what you’re accustomed to.

For manufacturers, we offer a way to free up precious floor space while more profitably servicing your LTL customers. For distributors, we allow for “virtual storage” since we can deliver on-demand. Either way, it’s a boost to your bottom line.

Your Promotions Resource
Quick-serve restaurants like McDonald's have elevated toy promotions to an art form. Behind every kid’s smile is an enormous amount of logistical complexity with a very short window to exhaust inventory. Beginning with the moment a toy is produced overseas, Hub One works with vendors to control and coordinate shipping, customs, storage and security right up until a promotion begins. We then use our hub system to ensure inventory is onsite when needed. It’s more efficient for manufacturers because it reduces logistics and costs, and ensures supply is in place before the promotion begins.

If you’re a manufacturer involved in toy promotions, or a quick serve restaurant looking to add efficiency and surety of supply to your operations, Hub One should be on your team.
